Scripture: James 1:8

“A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

James doesn’t say unstable sometimes. He says unstable in all his ways.

That means your instability doesn’t just show up in church—it shows up in your relationships, your emotions, your finances, and your decision-making.

You pray one way… but live another. You talk holy… yet move shady. You shout on Sunday… and sneak on Monday.

And then we have the nerve to ask, “Lord, why does my life feel off?”

Because your life has the same consistency as bad Wi-Fi.

One moment you’re connected—hands lifted, tears flowing, feeling the Spirit. The next moment you buffering, reconnecting, and blaming the router.

😬

The truth is simple but uncomfortable:

The only thing that will make or break you is your stability.

Not your shout. Not your gift. Not how many scriptures you post with filters and hashtags.

Because you can be gifted and still be flaky. You can be anointed and still be unreliable. You can know Scripture and still not be solid.

A few months ago, I injured my ankle. Nothing dramatic. Just life. I stepped out of the car and pain shot through my body so fast it humbled me immediately. For a moment, I literally couldn’t walk.

I didn’t need motivation.I didn’t need encouragement.I needed support.

That old wooden cane I found didn’t mean I was weak—it meant I was wise enough to stabilize myself before trying to carry more weight. Because without stability, even strength becomes dangerous.

God speaks to us the same way:“Until you get stable, I can’t trust you with more.”

You don’t fall because you lack power. You fall because you’re trying to carry weight on an unstable foundation.

Closing Thought:

You don’t fall because you lack anointing—you fall because you lack support.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 5:4–5

We live in a generation of strong intentions and weak follow-through.

We’ve got vision boards—but no discipline boards. We’ve got planners—but don’t follow the plan. We’ve got altar energy—but weekday amnesia.

And Solomon says plainly in Ecclesiastes,“Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.”

Solomon is warning us not to treat God like a layaway plan.

For the younger crowd, layaway was shopping before credit cards, afterpay, klarna, or Buy now Pay later. You picked out something you wanted, took it to the counter, and put a little money down—not enough to own it, just enough to claim it. The store tagged your item and held it behind the counter while you promised to come back and finish paying.

No interest.No penalties.Just trust.

The problem was never the store. The store kept its word. The store held the merchandise. The store waited patiently.

The customer? Not so much. People put items on layaway they couldn’t afford then, couldn’t afford later, and had no real plan to afford at all.

Life happened. Money came in—but it went everywhere except the promise. Then the customer would came back asking for a refund like the store was wrong for expecting them to finish what they started.

And God says, “That’s how you treat Me.”

You asked Him to hold the blessing. You promised you’d change. Promised you’d give. Promised you’d serve. Promised you’d pray.

He held it. You disappeared.

Now you’re back asking for something new while the first promise is still unfinished.

God is not impressed by intentions—He responds to completion.

Closing Thought:

If you can’t finish it, don’t promise it. God is not your layaway counter.

Text: 1 Corinthians 15:10 | Acts 2:38

Being “still here” is not just about survival—it’s about purpose.

Grace didn’t preserve you just to let you sit still.Grace saved you to serve.Grace sustained you to testify.

Paul said God’s grace toward him “was not in vain.” In other words, I didn’t waste it.

You’re still here because God has something for you to do.Someone to help.Someone to reach. A story to tell.

Grace deserves a response.

Stand up and serve. Open your mouth and testify.Honor the grace that saved you, healed you, restored you, and filled you with the Holy Ghost.

Jesus didn’t stay in the grave.Early Sunday morning, He got up with all power—healing power, saving power, delivering power.

And because He’s still here…you’re still here.

So don’t waste your second chance.Don’t bury your testimony.Don’t stay silent when grace has kept you alive.

Lift your hands.Lift your voice. And say it for yourself:

“I am still here — by the grace of God.”
