Our Story
FellowshipWorld (originally Fellowship Christian Center) was founded January 7, 2001 by the Reverend John H. Young, Sr. along with 13 followers at the Downtown Buffalo, Holiday Inn Conference Room. Rev. Young and his congregation grew in the operation of faith and continually acted upon the Word, signs followed. One of those signs was a steady growth in church membership as well as miraculous favor. Within 3 weeks of our initial worship experience our congregation grew to approximately 100 and the Lord blessed us to acquire our first location at 220 North Street, Buffalo, NY .

Pastor Young followed through with a plan the Lord shared with him about establishing a new multicultural church independent of denominational ties. In 2004, the ideal facility was found the facility and acquired at 1420 Main Street, Buffalo NY. The new facility housed a 300 seat sanctuary, banquet hall, food and clothing pantry, children's church, credit union, and was the headquarters of the Totally Gospel Radio Network which aired on 7 radio stations in Western New York, Pine Bluff Arkansas, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, & Winterhaven FL. During this seson, the ministry flourished, growing to a 300 member congregation, with thousands of listeners and partners throughout the country.
On November 1, 2015, FellowshipWorld purchased it's current facility, located at 878 Humboldt Parkway, Buffalo, NY. In May of 2020, the facility was Paid In full, and the first phase of renovation to the 125 year old edifice was completed in October 2020. Since moving to the new facility, the congregation has partnered with several community organizations and churches to provide Food & Clothing to the underserved, Housing and First Time Home ownership programs, Domestic Violence and Social Justice Advocacy, as well serves as host to smaller local churches in need of a larger venue for special services.
