Don’t give up on your dreams

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:20

The plan God has for your life is parallel to the dreams and desires you have for yourself. Over time we get disillusioned because of how things turn out. But most of the time, the outcome was based on how you went about getting it, not the dream itself.

“Don’t give up on your dreams…. Just change the way you go about getting them!”

One of the stories in the Bible that is truly mesmerizing is how God dealt with Joseph (the step-father of Jesus) through his dreams. Joseph’s original dream for his life was probably to be happily married to Mary and for her to bear his child. But as we know, Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit which interrupted all of Joseph’s plans.

Joseph was in a dilemma. Expose Mary as a fornicator or privately put her away as a single mother. If he exposed her as a fornicator, she could have been found guilty and sentenced to death. His thoughts for Mary though were not to harm her, so he pondered about putting her away privately instead. He truly did love her.

But through divine intervention in his dream, the Holy Spirit gave him a vision that would impact and change the world. Just think about this... Joseph's dream was to raise the Savior of The World! That's Huge!

Joseph woke up and said "I Can Do This".

Your original plans may have not worked out the way you envisioned. But God will lead you and direct you to make all of your dreams come true.

Joeseph did marry her and did have children by her. Their life together was full of challenges but his dreams also became reality.

When you can dream again, you will find ways around your challenges and all of your dreams will materialize.

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:20
